45 Bitcoin Miners Consumed Electricity More Than 3 Regions Of Kyrgyzstan Combined There is no such concept as cryptocurrency miner in Kyrgyz laws, said Chief of the National Energy Holding Company of Kyrgyzstan Aitmamat Nazarov in response to MP’s question if mining companies and Bitcoins were legal in Kyrgyzstan. “We don’t provide electricity designated specially for cryptocurrency miner companies. It was revealed that 45 mining companies consumed 136 MW of electricity and we had to cut off power to them, because they consumed more than 3 regions of Kyrgyzstan — Issyk-Kul, Talas and Naryn — consumed together,” Nazarov said.

BTC fell nearly $9,600 yesterday to date, then stopped falling and rebounded, and has now returned to the vicinity of $10,300. In the past 24 hours, the net inflows of BTC funds approached US$200 million. Compared with the previous cycle, the market inflows increased rapidly. We mentioned earlier that the main force is likely to wash dishes in the near future. Obviously, the main force finally did something yesterday, but the strength and speed of washing dishes are faster than expected. At present, the view of the medium-term bull trend remains unchanged, with the lower support focusing on the vicinity of $10,000 and then $9,600. In terms of operation, continue to attract funds at low prices, and stop loss should not be considered for the time being before breaking through the triangle area.

Interesting point of view from my brother

Hello everyone,
I translated a discussion I had with my little brother, he wrote me his opinion on ADA Cardano, which I find interesting. I am someone that put my cash in ADA, my brother has been in the crypto game way longer than me and I always ask for his advice even if he’s younger than me (that dude is smart), I just want to share it with you.
He wrote :
I started to invest in crypto on June the 19th 2017, I put 500 euros of my student loan because I thought that it was money I could lose or spend, since I don’t have to reimburse it before 2019. At this moment, the capitalization of all the crypto were USD 112 Billions: I had the feeling that it would raise because the technology behind it is interesting and can have an impact on all industries. That was a bet.
On July the 16th 2017, the capitalization was at USD 68 billions, -40%. I wasn’t touched too much because I was lucky in the crypto I invested in at first. On December the 21st, the capitalization was at 648 billions : when I’m sending you this message, it’s 575 billions. To make it simple : the average earning from an investor has been around 380%. If we take it from Jan the 1st, it has been 3185% : it is absolutely gigantic. I have the feeling that in a year, we’ll be above today’s level, if I had to answer to a survey with the answers : 0-500 Billions, 500bil – 1 tr, 1tr – 1,5tr, 1,5tr – 2tr, 2tr - 2tr+ / I’d say between 1 and 1.5 for December the 31st 2018. We can fall at 200 Bil before rising again, it’s a big roller coaster, but globally I think that it will continue to grow and that’s the reason why I didn’t cash out my investment.
There are multiple « Big Risks » that can affect the market right now : - If the stock market falls, which is a risk that will probably happen before the end of Trump presidency, I don’t really know how it will affect the crypto market, but there’s a high probability that It will fall.
I don’t know when your friends started to invest, neither what amount they put or on what crypto, but I’m going to give you my opinion on Cardano, it’s JUST MY 2 CENTS, but I’d rather be honest with you : Cardano wants to become a platform. The principal engine to a platform and its value is the network effect: Google, Facebook, Amazon, Uber, Airbnb, Netflix; All those companies created platforms that are successful because they knew how to bring X and Y in the same place : (X: Search, friends, advertising, drivers, housing, content providers; Y : customers). The more houses or drivers, the more YOU, as a customer will want to use the platform because it will be easier, less expensive and faster to find what you’re looking for (in theory).
Today, cardano is scheduling its platform launch around mid-2018. Today, Cardano is valued at 18 billions. It was at 1 billion 35 days ago : to you, what does justify a growth of 1800% ? Speculation or a real project advancement ? 18 billions for a platform that still isn’t on the market. It also has multiple competitors : Etherum, NEO, EOS, Ark. Ethereum has hundreds of projects that are being built. NEO has more than 20, some already launched, 15 that will come in January (disclaimer: I invested money on NEO because I estimate that its value is under evaluated compared to other platforms like Ethereum, EOS, Cardano lol).
SpaceX, sending rockets into space was evaluated at 21billions in July. Peugeot, sending millions of cars, is evaluated at 15.5 billions : can Cardano, that didn’t deploy its platform yet, can legitimately be worth more than Peugeot today ? not for me, it’s a bet I wouldn’t take. For me, Cardano still didn’t ‘Deserve’ this capitalization, because it still didn’t deliver projects that justify it. Maybe in 5 years It will be the biggest blockchain platform, with the best technology, and the capitalization will be worth 300 billions, Idk, time will tell, but when I look today’s value compared to what it was 35 days ago, and I look at the road map, I wouldn’t take the risk of putting (X€ amount – what I put on it) on this project today : it’s always a question of risk/earning.
Another point : the project is still new, there are no platform allowing to buy directly ADA from euros or dollars, it’s not on Bitfinex or Coinbase and it’s a reason why you should be careful regarding its value. I think most of Cardano is owned by Japanese funds : which means that the trading volume is limited because a lot of these funds are ‘locked’. Bots can easily artificially raise the trading volume, and the price too, if a good share of the owners can’t « sell » when they wish to.
Putting everything on a project is a real Poker play : and it was a winning one for you in just 24 hours (I -baneparis- invested some savings when cardano was worth 0.4388 eur all tax included (fees from binance etc)).
I just wanted to share with you 😊
I translated everything from french to english so sorry for the mistakes if there are some. I just wanted to share with the community. I'm not sponsoring anything, I'm just someone that invested in ADA and that is curious as I'm very new to the crypto world :)
Happy New Year ! And I hope for the best in the coming months.

Libra Could Be A ‘Systemically Important’ Payment Platform, Says Bank Of England In a statement made on Oct 8, the Bank of England (BoE) said that Libra is potentially a ‘systemically important’ payment platform, adding that it needs to be a regulated one as well. The central bank’s Financial Policy Committee has pledged that British regulators will look into the functions of Libra and other payment firms, and address the question of applying traditional regulations to them. According to the committee, “The resilience of the proposed Libra system would rely on the stability of not just the core elements of the Libra Association and Libra Reserve but also the associated critical activities conducted by other firms in the Libra ecosystem such as validators, exchanges or wallet providers.”
Libra Association Considering “Step-Ladder” Approach To KYC Regulations The Libra Association is thinking of radical approaches to reach the unbanked in certain locations, including a “step-ladder” approach to know-your-customer (KYC) regulations, according to a recent report by CoinDesk. Per the report, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) said it is open to working with Libra about potentially building new forms of digital identity. The report also revealed that Libra believes blockchain forensics firms like Chainalysis, Elliptic, and Coinfirm will help strengthen the case for “tiered KYC” by monitoring wallet profiles and transaction histories. Besides, non-profits in the Libra Association like the Kiva Foundation may play a key role.

BTC — Yesterday to this day, the BTC has been shaking slightly and is still hovering around $8,200. In the past 24 hours, the net inflow of BT funds is less than 40 million US dollars, and the market inflow of funds is gradually shrinking. Yesterday, BTC rose to around $8,400 and then withdrew. The rise was weakening. In the short run, it was still mainly a volatile market. It was more difficult to break through the bottom volatility directly. However, in the medium-term trend, BTC is currently under construction. Market sentiment is gradually warming up, with the following focus on the important support of $7,800. Operational aspects, close to $8,000 can be considered to buy appropriately, if the follow-up can again explore the support level, may usher in a more appropriate warehouse building opportunity.

The Next Step In Crypto: Exchanges Need "Security Token" Sections/Tabs With Bitcoin As The Medium Of Exchange

On April 24, 2019 Societe Generale Subsidiary Issues $112 Million Covered Bond As Security Token.

Tokens like these should be tradable on Binance and other exchanges. There should be dedicated sections for security tokens (bond tokens, equity tokens, etc...).

The medium of exchange for these tokens needs to be in Bitcoin. Not USDT or any other stable coin which is backed by a central corporation. We see with the Tether news why this cannot be allowed. We can't have a multi trillion dollar industry and all the trading liquidity unravel because of events like these. It will set the industry back to the stone age, its a huge risk.

This is the future of crypto and I hope the major exchanges take the appropriate steps to make it happen.

My Analysis/predictions of a bunch of Cryptos

I have been in crypto technically for 2+ years but, since last spring gotten very into it. Here is my opinion on a bunch of coins. I know I don't know everything about crypto, but I also know nobody (except maybe Satoshi) can say for sure how this will play out. Here's my analysis(half-assed bullshit guesses). Yea I'm very bullish.
BTC The king. I think it has the best likelihood of mass adoption. Wales want to see liquidity before they jump in. But more importantly they want to see big marketcap. They don't want to be a huge % of a market and not be able to pull out if it drops. I think there will be a tipping point in the near future where all of a sudden major financial companies start to pour in investments and millionares/billionares dump tons of money in. Wales are what takes us to 50-100k per coin. Also at a critical mass of marketcap the stigma of "betting on bitcoin" will turn to "putting it in bitcoin". Still too early to call a winner, but once they dive in it might be too late for other coins to top it. The tech that is massively adopted is not always the best. Yea there are fees, but it is still better than a wire transfer.

ETH Very strong. Accurately valued imo. I think it might go down a bit in the next year or so to 280 and stay, but I also think it will only take a few very successful Dapps for it to explode. Good leader too. I think the move to POS is great and I think the people behind it are very dedicated and pumped.
Jan 1 2018: 310 April 1 2018: 750
LTC- solid coin. Stability and a good leader. It could become the silver to the gold. I see it continuing to be very high volume.
Jan 1 2018: 72 April 1 2018: 105
BCC- No idea.
XRP- maybe great for a short term gain but I see major problems for it long term. I know a lot of people here don't like it because they think it's centralized but that's not why I don't like it. To me the problem is that for the "product" they offer to banks they can easily face competition and lose. There are already other coins that do similar things.
Jan 1 2018: .23 April 1 2018: .40
NEM Cool idea. I really like their coin and PoI. I think this coin has a chance of being massively adopted. The only problem is that they don't market much and don't get hype going. If they saw another big 20% burst I think they would snowball and more people would look up what they were about. They have small volume which isn't good, but I think it is because those who are in it see it as the best tech.
Jan 1 2018: .25 April 1 2018: .85
NEO Another coin that could be massively adopted. I don't see it going down too much anytime soon. After all the China FUD it only took a small hit and is still in the top 10. If China endorses it or has some kind of statement that can be interpreted as pro NEO I think it will explode. I like their model and how gas works with the POS. You can't go wrong with this one.
Jan 1 2018: 42 April 1 2018: 115
**DASH- PIVX is better in EVERY way.
IOTA- I think many can agree that this is the biggest question mark. I think it is the riskiest coin, but also potentially could see the most incredible gains. If the ball starts rolling with this and if they every get to the point where they can remove the coordinator I think it's lights out. GG. The question imo is can they get to that point while still being relevant and while people still believe in them. They have to get many people using the coin before they can get to that point.
Jan 1 2018: .62 April 1 2018: 1.8
XMR (monero) Awesome coin. Honestly I think this the safest bet. It has one of the most passionate communities and a good visible leader who understands his role is replaceable. The fungibility factor is SOOOOOO under valued and I wish more coins took this part more seriously. I like that there is no rich list. This coin seems to 2x all the time. The community has the "ask not what Monero can do for you but what you can do for Monero vibe"
Jan 1 2018: 195 April 1 2018: 405
QTUM, OMG, CARDANO all seem solid, but I haven't looked into them enough.
Bitconneeeeeeeeeeeect Not feelin it.
Jan 1 2018: 380 April 1 2018: .380
LISK- I think Lisk is awesome and will pop up to 12 by spring. JS is one of the most popular languages and its users are growing. At the end of the day it's the developer that makes widespread adoption. The easier it is for them to make apps for the block chain, the faster people can adopt it. DPOS imo is pretty cool. The people behind it seem really motivated and imo they have a cool logo and easy to remember name.
Jan 1 2018: 8.14 April 1 2018: 14.01
ARK I'm not gonna pretend to understand how smart bridges work, but I think they will go up. Their team seems professional and passionate and I like DPOS.
Jan 1 2018: 3.01 April 1 2018: 7.22
ZCASH Better off with XMR or PIVX. The tweet their boss gave was pretty telling. I have a bad vibe about them.
Stellar lumens IDK. Seems a lot like ripple
Jan 1 2018: .09 April 1 2018: .112
Stratis Better off with LISK or NEM imo
Jan 1 2018: 6.11 April 1 2018: 7.18
EOS I don't really understand this coin yet
MonaCoin Japan's coin. I think NEM is better because I like their POI and the fact they have been around longer. I don't think a coin can win off just strong patriotism/nationalism unless it is directly/officially endorsed by their gov't or issued (doubt that will happen)
Jan 1 2018: 4.42 April 1 2018: 6.44
PIVX Great coin. Their dev team sets targets and hits them. ZEROCOIN + super fast transactions are hard to beat. One of the most ideal coins with a community that's very passionate.
Jan 1 2018: 4.12 April 1 2018: 10.87
Decred One of the best long term coins. They have a good team and one of the smartest roadmaps. If crypto ever gets to maximal adoption you are basically talking about universal self governance and decred has a lot of foresight with their voting system. The down sides are that it's kinda complex and a lot to read though. New comers to crypto already have enough on their plate.
Jan 1 2018: 39.55 April 1 2018: 58.86
Steem Cool idea. I don't think its going away. At the same time I wouldn't buy this unless you like using the platform
Jan 1 2018: 1.02 April 1 2018: 3.31
Augur /Gnosis cool ideas. I see more competition coming for them. The draft kings and predictit markets are already huge. it's just a matter of showing the base how to use the platform
Jan 1 2018: 21.05 April 1 2018: 38.07 Jan 1 2018: 75.33 April 1 2018: 80.60
Binance I think this will pop up. Binance already has some of the lowest fees and BNB is functional already.
Jan 1 2018: 4.22 April 1 2018: 8.64
*Vertcoin/Grostle * I think people think because it's asic resistant it's more decentralized, but I think that's only is true in early stages. If it catches on people will figure how to rig many GPUs together and mine that way. I think they will be pumped and dumped again. I think they are the new DGB VTC: Jan 1 2018: 8.94 April 1 2018: 10.20
Populous/tenx Haven't looked into it enough but have heard good things
Salt I think Salt is a great. I think they might face more competition later, but if they can be stable and reliable, people will use their services and the price will keep going up.
Jan 1 2018: 5.44 April 1 2018: 10.91
Golem Big gamble. One coin that has tremendous upside(10x) but could also fade into obscurity. It faces a lot of competition but it seems like given it's niche function it has a strong following. The Devs for this I think are good. This is a very ambitious project. Who knows maybe 1 day a super AI will run on it.
Jan 1 2018: .34 April 1 2018: .81
Factom/Civic Great ideas. I really hope one of them becomes widely accepted/adopted. FCT
Jan 1 2018: 22.47 April 1 2018: 10.87
BAT Another great idea. I hope it does well. I like trying out new browsers
Sia/Storage I think these could moon but you will have to wait a while. I like Sia a bit better.
Sia > 1 dollar 2019
ZEN/VERG/ZCOIN Great on privacy. I'm not as big on POW and I think MONERO might have too much of a head start but these coins are unique. It's still early for any of them to become top dog
Byteballs cool Idea. I like IOTA better. Raiblocks might be better than both. but they are small and not on many exchanges. And as you can tell from the quality of this post I am too lazy to sign up for some new exchange right now.
Why so Bullish? You already know Where should ppl put money? Banks... almost no interest. If they raise interest rates they could crash the market. Either way $ will be printed in mass. Bonds..... terrible rates give me a break Stocks..... Market will probably go up but could crash any time. Not as liquid as crypto (I can't buy a computer with stock on robinhood). The whole point of stocks used to be owning a part of a company and having a say. That part of the value of a stock is long gone and diluted with these mega corps and everyone just hopes for capital gains. We all know where to go for gains. gold/silver... maybe. Crypto... Sky is the limit. It will soak up all the money that people hide, new money from the young kids in tech sectors, old money who want to pass crypos to their kids, and any sector that see's the benefit of it.
Best of luck to everyone out there.

Buy and Hold 100 Cryptocurrencies for 5 years - Week 5 - $2553 gained

It’s the 5th week since the experiment has started and a lot has been happening, I actually wonder to know if during the 5 years of the experiment there is going to be a quiet week. The crypto world has been bombarded by FUD, first with China banning the miners, then with South Korean ban on the exchanges, all this caused the price of Bitcoin (BTC) to go as low as $13,105.90 USD. As if it wasn’t enough, Warren Buffet said that “Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies will come to a bad end”. All these caused also the altcoins price to go on a rollercoaster, but today seems like most of them are bouncing back. To go into details about the experiment, the overall gain is $2533 USD (253%) or 0.19 BTC. Only 10 Cryptocurrencies are in minus since the beginning of the experiment and 3 of them have reached a gain of over 1000 %. Let’s talk about our Top5 cryptocurrencies. Tron (TRX) is also for this week the best gainer. Five weeks ago I bought 2500 TRX with $10.04. 2500 TRX are worth now $275.48, a gain of 2644.83 % Justin Sun, founder of Tron. Announced this week a new cooperation with Bao Feng, and been teasing about a cooperation with an innovative space company. Verge (XVG) finally released to so waited Wraith protocol. The price has been stable and 1 XVG is now worth $0.15 , I first bought it 5 weeks ago at $0.0079. Vechain (VEN) is the first new entry on the Top5, looking at the chart it has been rising for over one month. In fact, when I bought it 5 weeks ago, I got with $10.11 , 18 (VEN), at the time the price was of $ 0.56 , right now the price is $6.24, so the 18 VEN is now worth $112.48 a major gain of 1012.14 %. The other new entry on the Top5, sitting at the 4th position is Binance Coin (BNB), it’s been a while since BNB has been performing well, not sure about the exact reason, but it could be connected by the fact that Binance volume keeps growing massively. BNB can be used as trading fee option on Binance, doing so it lowers the trading fees from 0.1 % to 0.05%. Binace volume has been that high that they could barely keep up and had to halt a few time the sign up of new users. From a recent tweet, they announced that they got over 5 Million users! Ripple (XRP) is having again a big momentum, yesterday MoneyGram signed a deal with them announcing that it will use it to speed up their transitions. I believe this is one of the biggest wins for Ripple so far. Top 5 cryptocurrencies so far : Tron (TRX) +2644.83 % , from $10.04 to $275.48 Verge (XVG) +1794.52 % , from $9.62 to $182.25 VeChain (VEN) +1012.14 % , from 10.11 to $112.48 Binance Coin (BNB) +914.17 % , from $9.99 to $99.48 Ripple (XRP) +837.01 % , from $9.75 to $91.34

In simple words, any coin other than bitcoin is termed as “Altcoins”. These coins are created by tweaking the Bitcoin's or any other existing cryptocurrencies protocol. In the growing world of cryptocurrency, there are more than 3000 cryptocurrencies which came into existence and so it is a tough job to choose the right Altcoin to invest in it. Here are the 5 most promising Altcoins that can help you to narrow your search.
Disclaimer: This guide should not be considered as financial advice. It is highly recommended to do appropriate market research before any investments.

Litecoin

After the successful launch of Bitcoin, Litecoin was the next one to enter the Cryptoworld in 2011. Charlie Lee - a computer scientist created Litecoin by making some technical changes in the bitcoin’s source-code and made it the fastest peer-to-peer currency that enabled instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone across the world. Also, litecoin has a total supply of 84 million with an average block mining time of 2.5 minutes.

Reasons why to choose Litecoin as a Long-Term Investment

  • Improved: Litecoin algorithm is generally easier to mine but difficult to crack The bitcoin mining is highly processed intensive requiring, application-specific integrated circuit devices with high processing capabilities, while Litecoin mining is memory-intensive requiring less cost-intensive graphics processing units (GPU).
  • Faster block-processing rate: The technical changes done on Bitcoin’s source-code allows Litecoin to processes a block at a much faster rate and giving out rewards to the miner faster in every 2.5 minutes as compared to Bitcoin which processes a block in every 10 minutes. Litecoin network have more capacity to handle the transactions than bitcoin's network
  • SegWit upgrade: Litecoin's SegWit upgrade boost the capacity of the number of transactions a block can hold in litecoin's blockchain, thereby speeding up the transaction settlement times and lowering transaction costs.
  • Higher trading volume: The trading of Litecoin has begun since 2011 and since then it was in the top 10 list of coins. The popularity of Litecoins is so much that you won't face any problem selling them in the future which brings less fear of having risk as compared to other new coins.

Verge , again 2nd best crypto on "Buy and Hold 100 Cryptocurrencies for 5 Years" Week 5

Hash War Now Ends for Bitcoin SV!

The massive and chaotic BCH hash war is drawing nearer to a period more than ever, with the Bitcoin SV camp is saying "stop."
In a news press on Nov 26th, CoinGeek, the pushing hand behind the Bitcoin SV, announced that it from now on supports "a permanent chain split from Bitcoin Cash", which it considers as a final chapter to the BCH hash war triggered by the November 15 network upgrade.
In sheer contrast to the previous arrogance from the Bitcoin SV camp, fueled by numerous outrageous statements made by CSW which most notably features "We grind Bitmain into nothing", the Satoshi-impersonator and his allies now muffle their drums and call for a truce.
In the armistice announcement, CoinGeek gracefully refers to Bitcoin SV as "the original Bitcoin", which bears the mission to "restore the original Satoshi protocol for Bitcoin, keep it stable, enable it to massively scale, and allow major enterprises to confidently build on top of the BSV blockchain."
When addressing the now past-tense hash war, the Bitcoin SV dismisses the look-like "defeat" offhand as an "illusion" of rented hash power motivated by its rivalry, and narrates the whole process from the perspective of someone who has a complete control over trending.
Then, CoinGeek furthers to touch on the new implementation of checkpoints and an intention to convert to PoS algorithm by the BCH ABC, which it sees as an abandonment of "fundamental principles of Bitcoin."
Following a series of bashing at ABC, CoinGeek swirls back to highlight its achievements in building a BSV ecosystem within a short time. Furthermore, the end game - replay protection - will be rolled out as part of its plan to guarantee stability, a key priority for users.
In addition, a user guide is in place to explain how users can safely split their BCH coins into ABC and BSV coins.
Calvin Ayre, founder of CoinGeek as well as a steadfast advocator for Bitcoin SV, concluded with a powerful end line, praising BSV as the only token postured to rise "significantly" in value across the board amidst a persistent bear market. He credited the outstanding performance to the roadmap of Bitcoin SV "for big enterprise usage."
According to CoinNess.com, the price of Bitcoin SV embarks on a roller-coaster, even to hike above $130 at a high point. Currently, it pulls back a bit to $118.06 on Binance, still surpassing ETH's $112.16.
CoinNess.com approached Nishant Sharma, International PR and Communication Director of Bitmain, for comments on the CoinGeek's appeal to truce. "In chain splits it is important for the minority chain to implement replay protection," said he, "so that both chains and their communities can move towards their separate goals without the risk of replay transactions slowing them down."
